XPS LED Program + WMP Plugin - Page 5

I downloaded the full version bot don't seem to be able to get the LCD only version.

Just out of curiosity, is there a reason these aren't permanently hosted like most of the other apps that can be found in the forum?

Thanks,

-Doc

The reason is they are hosted on my ISPs webserver, if stuff is not required I remove to make space for other stuff.

Hey qualar,

Great tweak/program

I was using it great with a 1 gig stick and the stock 256 stick (1.25GB)

I now have 2 - 1GB memory sticks. Different brands.

Now on startup I get an error. I will try to get a screenshot later.

Weird thing is that everything else on my laptop runs/works fine, so I dont think it is a memory problem.

TIA

OK. Love the program, but I have a problem...
The dimmer thing is driving me mad. I cannot get it to work at all.

Am I missing something? (using a fairly standard XPS Gen2)

Does the dimmer work by sending keystrokes similar to FN+Up and FN+Down? Could it be Microsoft Intellitype causing problems (IE blocking the keystrokes)?

Any feedback much appreciated. If you need more info please let me know.
Thanks very much.

No it doesnt use keystrokes. One thing about the dimmer it doesnt work on batteries, only on AC.

Is it possible to get the dimmer-only version?

Thanks,

Hmm.... I ran the "Run this first..." script, but when I run the app, it doesn't seem to work. I set it to fade instantly after 1 minute, and I also tried the test button. No go. I'm sure I've done something wrong, can you clue me in? (This is on an XPS2)

Just want to say thank's for all the time and hardwork you put into this project. I can't speak for anyone else but I would imagine anyone who owns a XPS gen 2 would love this app. . Thanks again for your time and comitment in this project of yours. If I may call it that. It's awsome.

You Da man

I definately enjoy the WMP plugin .. My GF thinks it adds a cool Discoteque effect when music is playing and the room is almost dark.

Keep up the good work.

qualar,

OK strangely enough it is working now. On or off A/C.

Hope it stays that way.

One day I brought my laptop over to my parent's house. My Dad was like that thing (laptop) is making me want to DISCO!
