End of test.

How is the viewing angle of a 15.4" Ultrasharp WXGA (1280 x 800) LCD panel?
ive seen it on the i6000 and the d810, and they are both crap.
There is an UltraSharp WXGA panel? I thought the WSXGA+ and WUXGA+ were the only UltraSharp panels Dell offered on the i6000.
You're right dallasb, the website lists only the WSXGA and the WUXGA as UltraSharp and the specs for all 3 distiguishes it.

The 15.4" WXGA is listed as an Ultrasharp for the Asia Pasific region.
However, it looks crap to me.

Below is the LCD specification for the Asia Pasific region.

Based on the viewing angle, do you all think it is an Ultrasharp?
No.
The UltraSharp label do not appear in some markets for the WXGA.

Can't tell what my display is since Windows Registry only contains 3 entries for Default Monitor.

Here is the US version: note the differences in viewing angles and brightness: http://www1.us.dell.com/content/lear...n&~tab=details

the inspiron 6000 DOES NOT have ultrasharp panels on the wxga, viewing angles are also affected by which panel you have, whether its an LG (poor viewing angles) or a samsung (better viewing angles)

What specs must a LCD panel have to be considered an Ultrasharp panel?

Notes: Viewing angles measured at 10:1 contrast ratio. The systems shown in this comparison have 4:3 aspect ratios. Dell wide-aspect UltraSharp LCDs have slightly narrower viewing angles of +65/-65 (horizontal) and +50/-50 (vertical).

That photo (for one)

looks a lot more like "+50" than "+10".

Obviously, I am not seeing at all what you are trying to show

On "Standard LCD" would not screen appear blank beyond 10º above straight on?

All photos, same screen?

I can't tell the difference.
