Screen flicker while plugged in

For some reason, my LCD panel on my ASUS Z70Va refresh seems to flicker subtly when it is plugged in--but when it's unplugged running on batteries it seems fine.

Anyone know what might be wrong with the plug or laptop?

Could be a connection problem (loose wires inside?) or maybe something to do with the flow of the current in your home. Does it happen all the same if you're somewhere else?

Have you tried a different power supply or are you using one of the generic ones? If the generic ones that you select the setting via switches, make sure the settings match your laptop's requirements.
