I own an ASUS W1vc laptop. I don't think its available on the american marked (which really is too bad, cause its specs are top class).
But, I anyone else does own this model please tell if your Fan kicks in 2 min. after booting into XP. My CPU temp stays between 36 and 42 unless I really stress the computer. But the fan starts at CPU temperatures between 37 and 40 deg. C. Im not sure what actually triggers the Fan, it may be influences by GPU and HDD temp.
But no software I've come across can tell me the temp. of the GPU (speedfan 4.25, 4.26, 4.27beta9 or CHC). I've undervolted the laptop (0.7V at x6) and it lowers the idle temp from apx. 40 deg. to 37 deg. c. (fan almost always on at x6).
Am I the only one whose fan basically is always on?
Does anyone have any idea how to control fan speed and activation temp. on this model?
