Well after many computer companies and retailers, Im happy to say that I finally found one to brag about. Ive spent many countless hours and weeks talkin to support and waitin for my computer to be fixed by the Dells, HPs and Toshibas that its a breath fresh air to deal with the Acer guys.
Long story short, my mobo was fried, and after waiting on hold for less than 3 minutes (try that with Dell
), i got a great tech guy who was really helpful, and got my lappie out to their repair dept the next day. This was a monday, I sent it with Fed Ex ground that they payed for. It got there on Thursday afternoon, and got an email sayin they received it. By the next afternoon, I see that it has already shipped out back to me
. Left on Friday night, by Monday morning at 6am it was on my doorstep. And it was a pretty big repair: a new mobo, cpu and hard drive.
So after reading so many horror stories of pple dealing with tech support, and waiting around for weeks to get their lappies back, I was really glad now that I chose Acer and got my unit shipped, repaired and back to me in less than a week, with it spending 6 of those days in transit.
This is not to bash on other companies, because im sure they have great support, but I have yet to experience, or read about such fast service.
