Thoughts on Asus support?

Hi folks,

I've been dissatisfied with the tech support on a recent Sager purchase and am wondering about people's experiences with Asus in this regard. How has the "after purchase" experience been, particularly for those of you who have had problems with the machines.
I'm not so interested in the reliability of the machines themselves as I am in how Asus DEALT with the issues.

Thanks.

Asus does not deal with issues the dealers do atleast they are suposed to. This is how they separate them selves from the res the odm's. They have a hand full of extremely knowledgeble dealer base that covers their product and asus gets a free ride. As for asus support i can only comment on their dealer support. it is exceptional. If you have any pull with them they really hook you up. Not too much experience with their end user support. I would venture to say they are like the rest however they do ship air on the way back to end user and their rma is fairly fast a few days tops 1 week. On a side note its stupid of them to ship air in cali. 2nd day air in cali gets there in 2 days. Ground gets there in 1-2 days. What a waste

I have never been happy with Asus's website. The FAQ and forum do not hold a lot of information. Plus, the technical support from "admins" is lacking. They do have good email support though. I remember the did a customer service survey and I'm looking at the results right now and they are all in the 80+% for satisfaction except for PDA/MP products, notebook downloads, and PC downloads. Hmm... not sure if i would agree personally though.
