Screen color problem!!!! HPzd7000

Please help!
Last year, my screen suddenly lost BLACK coloring...instead, RED was in its place. For example, Wondows start-up screen was bright red instead of black.
HP tech support were useless.
Geek Squad ran diagnostic but were equally useless.
However, when I went to pick up laptop, they ran it through another monitor to show that other monitor worked ok. When we turned laptop on, BLACK was BACK!!!

Until a few weeks ago.

Now it is BLUE instead of black. Runs fine through external monitor tho. So video card, etc. is ruled out, I would imagine.

WHAT DO YOU THINK???????????????????
PLEASE HELP, I'VE BEEN CRYING FOR WEEKS.

Bad connection between the LCD panel and the mobo?

How might that be corrected?
That's what I think too. I get the sense that something is just not quite connecting or comes undone when laptop gets jarred.
HP is big and clunky and does not take even very minor drops well.

The LCD is usually connect to the mobo via some form of flat cable.

check the LCD connection & if that doesnt work i would say you need a new screen, HP can replace it if its under warranty...
