Ran across this German review of the MSI Megabooks better known in the states as the MS-1029 and MS-1032.

seems like the 1032 did better on 3dmark05 score and battery life. I think it's a very underrated system.

The MS 1032 is a good laptop... I don't like it because it goes as far as using an Intel Chipset yet it does not implement the Alvisio HD audio.

I'm probably going to go with the MS-1029. It's a tad more future proof being that it's 64 bit vs 32 bit. Then again, by the time programs take advantage of 64 bit CPUs, it will be pretty outdated.

The problem with the MSI-1032 is that there are also 1000 other Pentium-M Notebooks out there. There are only so many quality turions though (Like the 1029), which is why the 1029 gets so much more attention.

Well, the 1029 combines power, quality & speed for a low price. That's why it gets so many attention. To be honest, its hard to find x700 equipped laptops with a full load out ( 1gb, 25w turion A64, etc ) for that cheap price.

Several other brands also sell the 1029 ( like Targa ), with there own label of course
