Question For Web Developers-What's the best FREE ASP server for a local http server?

Hi folks, this question is specifically for Web Developers and the like... I need to know what's the best FREE ASP server that I can install on my local Apache 2.0 http server? Please note, I am NOT asking for an ASP web host on the internet, I need the acutal executables and configuration files that will allow me to install it on my local machine?

Thanks in advance for any responses!

ASP server? You mean Internet Information Services.
Start button >> Control Panel >>Add or Remove Programs>>Add/Remove Windows Components>> Check Internet Information Servers (IIS) box

Note: You must be running Windows XP or 2000.

Now, are you running ASP or ASP.NET pages?

Sorry... I forgot to mention, I'm running Windows XP MCE, I tried upgrading to Win XP Pro but it won't let me =(. This is why i'm running Apache as my local web server. I just need ASP, not necessarily ASP.NET. I know chilisoft had an ASP Server you can install but I'm looking for a free ASP server...

XP MCE is just XP Pro with a little extra. Try it and see if it is there.

I just assumed that MCE did not have IIS feature as an option. But after looking I can see that it IS an option. I tried installing it but it didn't allow me to install it because it couldn't find certain files. I think this is a fluke and may be a conflict between something I already have installed. I may just have to reinstall to the factory installation (I can do this since I'm using a Dell Inspiron 9300). Thanks for the advice, I would have not thought about doing that had you not mentioned it!!!

Ok, I reset my computer to the factory installation and reinstalled everything... I was able to get IIS to work. Thanks again for the suggestion! Now all I have to do is get PHP to work.
