Ferrari 4000 Build Quality

I'm curious, what is the build quality of the Ferrari 4000 like? Being built out of carbon fibre I would hope it would be quite strong. I'm considering getting one (for people who ask about the price, they're between AU$3000 and AU$4000 down here >.<), but one of my primary concerns at the moment is getting a laptop with a strong body. I have a one year old who is usually very interested in my computer and often comes up whilst I'm working and starts pushing on the back of the screen. Anyone know how the Ferrari would hold up to that over time?

the ferrari is not an outdoor notebook ... remember it's a ferrari build for racing the streets, not for offroad ...

carbon fibre has many different types - it doesn't necessarily mean it's strong, ie, your laptop is not likely going to be any good for stopping a bullet... however, it does look pretty... otherwise, it's quite a sturdy build and feels good in your hand.

*laughs* As funny as that is, it's probably a good point ^^

Whilst it's certainly not a toughbook, it's sturdy enough. It might forgive a few knocks here and there, but remember, a one year old is a mighty force of nature, a force which a notebook might never be able to withstand!

ravenq; I've been looking for a notebook in Australia in the same price range as you. I have pretty much narrowed it down to either the Acer Ferrari 4005wlmi or the Asus W1v, both sit at around $3600AU if you buy online in Australia. I've seen a ferrari 4002 in person, played around with it and pushed on the back of the screen, and it's quite strong...I noticed no ripples when pushing on the back of the screen, the carbon fibre seems to do a really good job. I'd definately recommend checking out the Asus W1v...I wish i could decide between the two...

oh god, well i dropped my ferrari 4002 many times in my school bag stupidly. Mind you the laptop was in a basic laptop bag and a back pack. I think i've dropped it over 5+ times. Its pretty bad that i keep doin git i get a heart attack everytime. But likely no damage man!
