Connection Hd Tuner To Laptop

I am attempting to build a device that will recieve ATSC(HD) signals from off-air and save the stream to a HDD.
Proposed hardware:
MAGMA PCI BOARD
HAUPPAGE 698 pci HD TUNER CARD

Does anyone else have experience with this type of setup or any suggestions.

How do you plan to connect the Tuner card and the HDTV source? If via component or RGB that should be all good but if it's via DVI or HDMI you'll have problems because of the secure HDCP protocols involved with HDTV signal transfer between devices. The picture will look like scrambled cable eheh
