Need help installing DVD R/RW drive

Not much familiar with notebooks. The Z71V is my first. I want to replace the DVD ROM drive with a DVD R/RW drive. There's nothing in the manual regarding how to release the drive from the bay. Can anyone help me get the old drive out?

Got it figured out. I knew that there was a release slider button, but it was pretty solidly stuck in the bay. I didn't want to force anything or do damage.

what type of drive did you replace it with?

dont forget you need to take the housing frame off the old drive and put it on your new drive
