Dell Large Backpack - I've found it to be pretty good. Not TOO much room for large things in your bag after putting the laptop in, but I've been pretty satisfied with it so far. One bad thing about it is that the strap padding for my right side is pretty bunched up and "scrunchied" up - that's the same strap that I use to first put my bag on.

Yeah I use the dell backpack too. Pretty usefull, even features a hole for headphones...

I've found there is *just* enough room for my school or lan gear. Don't expect to be able to fit large speakers in there tho...

Are there any cases that fit the 9300 like a glove? I was interested in the Vyper XL (booq?) but it won't fit my laptop ::.

same here, I love it. I can fit my 9300, power adapter, all my PC games, keyboard, mouse, mouse pad, and some misc items in there. Its a really big backpack. I also use it for school.

I know a lot of people are very pro Targus XL, but just keep in mind there's a few of us who have been less than satisfied with the Targus. I'm rough on my backpacks, I'll be the first to admit it. I travel a good bit, overseas frequently, and am dragging and pulling the backpack through lots of tight situations. I'm used to professional and durable backpacks, the kind that you can only really get with hiking or backpacking backpacks. Anyway, I find the Targus to be extremely weak and ill designed. It's not threaded very well and my shoulder strap ripped slightly on my very first plane trip. Given, I had the laptop and about 15 more pounds of gear loaded in the backpack with it, but my impression is that it can't deal with heavy loads very well at all. So, if you have nothing but the laptop and accessories in your backpack and tend to carry it to school or work and be very gentle with it, I think it will last you awhile. However, if you want a backpack that you can have confidence in to load down a bit and not have to worry about things starting to rip off, this one is not for you. I now carry it in a Victorinox laptop case (shoulder strap) that I bought in the Miami airport after my Targus started tearing. It's worked great for me so far. Just my 2 cents. I'll never buy Targus again.

I have the Pacific Design Action II XL, bought on ebags.com and I like it very much. I can't compare to other models because there were no 17 inch models in stores last time I checked.

What I do appreciate the most is that it does not look at all like a laptop bag, and most people don't know what that pacific design logo is either.

I have both the targus and the mobile edge

I use the mobile edge more and it's well worth the $20 that I paid for it from dell.

Kensington Contour Pro backpack. 9300's a tight squeeze at first use, but that's just the elastics working. It keeps your computer nice and secure, so it won't be going anywhere. I don't usually carry any books with it anymore, but there's 3-4" for the books in the main compartment while the comps in there, and a little room in the front pocket for a notebook or something.

Don't know how much you want to spend but I have the axio hardpack carbon fiber, I ride a motorcycle so its partially for that reason (its designed for bikers), it does fit the 9300 nicely and a spare 2.5 HD, power supply, cables and some papers, it looks a bit like a jet pac

I use this backpack for my XPS2. It holds quite a bit of stuff, is well constructed and it also looks better than the Newegg pics show. Definitely a good buy.
