Game Controller ??? What you playing ???

Is anyone using a game controller ??? I keep on wondering if I'm being lame by still using a keyboard and mouse for all my gaming input.

Also, not many folks are talking about what they're playing. After finishing Half-Life, I bought the first edition of Call of Duty and the first HALO. I'm playing HALO now but it looks a little dated, and its hard to be serious when those little monsters sound like Alvin the chipmunk.

Used just a generic ps2 usb gamepad when i played prince of persia 3 on the lappy but for my main game eq2 i just use mouse and keyboard. I use the mouse with my left hand for eq even thou i'm right handed i find it easier to do the keyboard with my right hand.

Good, I don't have to buy a game pad to keep up geek appearances.

I use keyboard/mouse for first person shooters.

I use a microsoft sidewinder gamepad for console ports that work better with a gamepad, like the GTA series.

I use a microsoft sidewinder ff steering wheel and pedals for racing sims.

And I use a SpaceOrb for select games, motorcycle racing sims mostly as you can control three degrees of freedom with the one ball controller. They don't make them anymore, BTW.

With the spaceorb, you can twist the ball to turn, tilt it back and forward to look up and down, push it forward, backwards or sideways for movement. It's harder than a mouse to aim, but for moving around while looking around, it's great.

That's just beggin for a response, but I'm going to show a little self control and just point it out for someone of less moral tendencies to take on.

Too much RESTRAINT in this news group

I would have expected something like "No good at human interface? Buy a blow-up doll and practice, practice, practice."

Restraint: in my case: sitting this morning at a corporate pc with a key-logger pretty much constrained my creativity.
