Possible y or n? Modify antenna on internal antenna?

I have been doing a little research trying to figure out if it is possible to modify the antenna on my internal wireless network card and wondered if anyone else has had any success in this endever. I have an I8600, however, Its card is not unique in how it works or hooks up. The Dell wireless 350 internal card that is in my I8600 has 2 antenna wires connected as shown here on Dells site http://docs.us.dell.com/support/edoc...m/upgrades.htm
Is it possible to add a external directional antenna using these connections? Any knowelge or direction would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes. It would have to be an external antenna and if you don't want to mod your notebook to accomodate for an antenna connector you will have to run the antenna wires through the mini-pci door. Either way you will need a U.fl to N-type adapter.

Thanx mich43L
Do have a link that would direct me to obtaining the U.fl to N-type adapter? Is that the adapter that would plug into or onto the connectors on the wireless card?

Here is one:

If you plan to use it to connect your external antenna to it without any additional modding you will have to run the wires through the bottom of your laptop and keep the mini-pci door open. But what will be more inconvenient is plugging in and out the u.fl connector. It isn't designed to be constantly plugged in and out and it does wear out eventually.
