Need a Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller Driver

Installing XP Pro on a 5205-s705 everything works but I am getting an Device Manager Error on the Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller.

Can't seem to find one on Toshiba's site, any help will be much appreciated.

USB is working, mouse works and am able to read from a USB drive, just getting this error.

If you are talking about the controller that is built in, you shouldn't need one. I would uninstall the device (from device manager) and scan for new hardware.

Tried that, weird part is everything appears to be working perfectly;

If anyone with a S705 can tell me what device is at location:
PCI bus 2, device 6, function 2
I would appreciate it.

Never been at a lost like this in 8 years

A trackball, but even removed it and it still showed an error.

If something didn't work I wouldn't be bothered, I could just get the driver.

Guess I might get a second hard drive, restore it with the original Media Center and try to figure out what is there that is not what I have with a clean install of XP Pro.

I'm actually amused by this now, its been so long since I've had any problems and I see this as a great challenge now.

Got it!!!

It was..... NEC PCI to USB Enhanced Host Controller (B1)

Seems toshiba does not have this driver as a download (or I missed it 12 times) and I had to grab it from a hard drive that was imaged from the restore CD from the machine. Not an option from the restore CD driver install from what I can see either.

Funny thing was I tried another hard drive via usb and thought the drive was bad, the missing driver seemed to allow the track ball to work but not the hard drive.
