8104 farcry crashing

anybody else have issues with farcry crashing all the time? after a few minutes of playing it freezes and repeats the currently playing sound in a very annoying manner. the only cure i've found is to hold the power button down for 5 seconds. sometimes i don't even have enough time to get to the next checkpoint b4 is crashes.

anyone else had/fixed this kind of problem?

i've tried various video drivers incl stock/acer, and mob cat 5.10(?) - no improvement.

maybe your problem is related to overheating issues that affect myself and apparantly, alot of ppl on this forum!

If it is, then happy hunting in the numerous overheating threads!

I've been playing it a lot recently and so far I haven't had a single crash or freeze.

You've patched it to the latest version?

Fresh (non-image) reload, my friend! It's unbelieveable how unrobust MS is.

did you checked the lates Video drivers

Did you checked with the lates 6.2 drivers from ATI i play a lot of games on my 8104 with this version of the drivers and have not any issue at all!

ATI Mobile Drivers

the crashing got worse. i sent it to acer to fix, they replaced the mobo, cpu, and heatsink. and i got a notebook cooling pad. seems better now
