7800 delayed again!!!!

I just received an email from dell(us) that my order which is supposed to ship today is going to be delayed till the 21st !!!! Man I can't believe it.... this is the 2nd delay notice I got from them.... they told me to notify them if I would like to still like to continue with my order.... Does anyone know the grievance procedure ? o

Read the post by s2000 and the last post by jeffcmfrt. Remember that Dell usually under promises on their delivery times...at least that's been my experience. And patience is one of the more important virtues of the Jedi, my young Padawan

Well mine is supposed to ship the 17th but I guess come the 17th I'll get an e-mail delaying mine again too. Like I posted earlier, I'm cancelling. By the time we actually get this card it's going to be outdated, lol.

somebody start calling dell for a 512mb 7800go please, we need to do it earlier this time around, that way we can get the card right on time, I hate all these outdated arrivials

sorry master jedi, but the dark side is too strong..... so i just complained and whined at dell customer care till they finally gave me an upgrade in shipping and a 50$ coupon for my next purchase.....

All I gotta say is, Mark totally lied to me. Told me all these grand things and how I (at of now) shoulda had it a week ago. He's nothing more than your typical Dell salesmen; and I thought we found a unique one up there that is actually worth calling human.

Mark = an ass.

Calm down chuckles, the guy (and Dell) got deluged with orders and their dates are slipping. Mark told you whatever information he had at the time that he believed to be accurate, he didn't "lie" to you.

Having a bit of buyer remorse, I see

They're delaying orders because they knew they screwed up bigtime on the price. They want to make you wait so that you finally give up and re-order

Yeah if it's not here by this weekend I dunno what I'm going to do... I basically already sold my 6800u but it's still in my computer waiting for the 7800 to arrive. Either way I'm going to ship it out this week if it means I don't have a video card in my notebook for a while then that's just how it's gonna have to be ... I have my desktop for backup, as long as I get the card by X-mas break it's not a huge deal. I'm going to have to be studying for finals anyways

Here's hoping it ships this week like it's frigging supposed to.

I havent gotten another email since the last one. It supposed to ship out on or before the 16th. On Dell's website it still says "preproduction" with a ship date of 11/9/2005.

My order just got delayed from the 16th to the 22nd.
The email notification was sent not too long ago.

I don't know what happened, but I can say this much. I used a credit card, my mother gave me one yesturday and I used it immediately to buy this card yesutrday around this time noon. I then sent a check to my mother to pay off for the videocard, and I just now got off the phone with dell to verify and I'll be getting it through Airborne Express/DHL today. I mean this is Awesome express service. I'm quite happy, I wish you guys had as much luck as I did. Btw, I live in Michigan and I got the shipping waived.
