7800 delayed again!!!! - Page 2

how much did u pay 4 it?????????????????????
well I paid 340 for the 6800 Go Standard, and then I learned it's only 370 for the GTX 7800. So I was like HAVE To return the 6800 and move over to the 7800. Now I'll just have to find some time to locate the battary and AC power Supply for the XPS. I have Final Papers due before Thanksgiving so I won't have time to mess around with this much, however it's good to know I'll have the card in my hands at least. So the hard part is over.

thats a great deal ... did you order it via spare parts or did you order it through mark ? The online price for the 7800 is 599 $ ....... whats the part no ?

I don't know, I didn't use Mark at all, I just called up the dell parts number that was provided on the dell forums and talked to some Indian Lady who I swear was in India. I know the techinical support is in India, but I didn't know the sales was there too. Anyways we had a talk about me returning my previous video card and ordering the 7800. The best part of everything is that I got both cards within exactly 24 hours after hanging up (Better then going to Best Buy) And I was able to return the 6800 after 5-6 days of usage playing BF2 and FEAR. And they paid for the shipping return, and came to my door yesturday to pick it up. I mean yeah I know I'm spending nearly 400 dollars, but this is some great service USPS can't match this at all. 2 cards within 7 days at my door. And keep in mind I got my 7800 today, after calling about it yesturday around this time noon. I feel like I'm ordering Organs or something as these video cards come to my doorstep within 12 hours of ordering, and somehow all you other guys have said you got delayed on your cards. I actually feel bad now in a way that I lied to get the 7800 to begin with, I said that I ordered a XPS off of Ebay that had broken parts and needed replacment, and well they were glad to help me and waive shipping on eveyrthing. Now to work on that sales tax, lol.

You got lucky dude...I didn't think that was possible to get an order that fast, especially on an item that is in such short supply. Teach us how to sweet talk those Indian reps

Do you have the card in your hand already? I hope so for your sake because they are notorious for sending out the desktop cards and swearing they will work with your laptop because they are both pci express

I myself was sent a desktop card first, luckily I saw it the same day when i looked up the order detail, but it was already too late to cancel, had to refuse the package.
