Okay...if you can, arrange to be HOME when they attempt delivery...mine was sent out from a facility very near my house yesterday, and never got here...the DHL people had no idea where the card was, and couldn't even find it so that I could pick it up last nite...today, the guy comes to my door, drops off a cylindrical package addressed to my wife, and starts to go back to his truck...I run over to the door and shout at the bastard to come back...he does and I politely explain that I'm waiting on another 7-lb package from DELL and here is the Airbill number...he knew NOTHING about this package and swore up and down he didn't have it with him even though I had just checked the DHL website and it said 'Out with Courier for Delivery' or something...I actually had to make him go search his truck before he sheepishly returned with a package from Dell, muttering something like 'I thought that was it, but I couldn't remember...'
At any rate, I'm almost certain that's what happened yesterday, too: it was on some dipshit's truck, but was never delivered since the package is TECHNICALLY not due for delivery until Wed, Nov 23rd (sent 3-5 day shipping even though I asked for overnight)...This outfit is NOT like UPS or FEDex...their computers are frequently wrong and their drivers often have packages ON BOARD their trucks that simply are not delivered for days at a time if they are not TECHNICALLY due for delivery, even if they deliver something else to the house.
Card was shipped as photographed in other threads, bereft of anti-static bag and stuffed loosely in between two foam thingies, but is fine as far as I can tell despite this...
OOtB w/stock Dell Drivers 3DMark jumped from 5935 w/overclocked 6800Ultra to 6713, and FEAR jumped from 34 FPS average to 71 FPS average at identical settings (1024x768, 2x/4x, Medium Textures, Everything else cranked except Soft Shadows)...looks like a marginal improvement in 3DMark scores at this level translates into much larger in-game gains with new DX9 titles (i.e. roughly twice as fast in FEAR, with only ~20% gain in 3DMark05...)
