Im set on getting a I6000 sometime around Dec or January. I went to dell's site to price one out. I dont need anything too fancy since Im not really too much of a gamer. I mostly listen to cd's and download and burn them, surf the web and I do a lot of word processing for college. These are the options that I choose: the WSXGA+ screen, internal a/b/g wireless card and the CD-rw/ Dvd-rw dual layer drive. Im pretty sure this would serve me well, wouldn't it? Id love to hear what your guys think and do you think they will have any deals coming up? So far this notebook is priced at 820 bux + shipping and Im hoping to get it down to close to 650-700 or lower. Ive done minor upgrades to my home desktop which is a gateway w/933mhz pIII and windows ME, Ive added ram and put in a network adaptor card for dsl and a ATI radeon 9200 gfx card, but thats it. I sort of know my way around computers. I can ussually figure everything out. My question about my desktop is that whenever I shut it down it will close windows and all but at the black screen right before it would shut itself down a blue screen pops up and tells you that an error happened. I dont have the code with me. It doesnt do this all the time but it does it enough to get annoying since when it does it wont shut itself down, you have to do it manually. Also is there any free registry cleaners or anything else out there that I can download and run on my computer to clean it up again. It seems like the files are disorganized because its been getting slower this past year. Sorry for the length but I just had a bunch of questions. Thanks for your help Just stumbled onto this site from a friend telling me about it. So far this site is very well put together.
