where can i see an ibm in person?

anyone? i live in southern california, USA and have yet to see an ibm w/o actually buying one.

thats a good point actually. lol. i've never seen an IBM in a store. I guess my first real IBM i got to play with was my friend's T21, and now i own a T23 which is pretty much identical minus some little things (faster cpu, internal wifi)

Rumor is that Office Depot will begin carrying Thinkpads.

i second that. i live in the bay area in california and i saw a t43 and a z60t at office depot.

some, not all -- i stopped at the office depot in ann arbor, mi to check out the thinkpads and all they had were toshiba's and sony's.

I saw a t43 and z60t at office depot. I actually wasnt as impressed with the z60 as I thought I would be. I think it's because it's thicker, and the 'titanium' lid actually seemed less sturdy than the regular t43 lid. Oh well, I'm sure it's a gret acomputer. I'm glad they finally have them in stores, I had the same problem with dell.

Any updates in IN STORE view opportunities in the texas area? or other areas ?

The office depot here in Amarillo TX has a display of two Thinkpad models, an R series and a Z Series. Check some Office depots in your area. Best Buy I beleive just closed a deal with Lenovo so expect Thinkpads to start showing up there on the sales floor too. Thinkpads sure are nice notebooks, if only they weren't out of my price range by $500.
