Sentia (PICS) - Page 2

Uniwill is the ODM for this laptop. The link below has pictures of the Sentia before the alienware mod. I'm going to be one to stand up and say that I like it. I will admit that Sony's Z1 blows it away in case design, but the price, no hardware options, separate purchase of port replicator, and the 16mb ATI only available turned me away from the sony.

The AW version looks better than that one, because of the thing they do to the back of the LCD.

It does look like crap, but its cheap for an Alienware product and is good for people that arent gaming. It looks like horse crap in silver tho.

I think it looks like one of those cardboard fake laptops they use to display cases. You know, the ones that are bascially a pizza box painted grey.

Maybe it's some sort of anit-theft device....

Pictures of my Area-51 Sentia in Cyborg Green

I did not like the grey in the beginning of this thread. It may have been bad camera angles, and lighting.

I have the green and the laptop is beautiful! Now that I see it in front of me, I am glad that I made this choice. The sony Z1 was my other option. But I find that the Shared video is better than sony's 16MB ATI. My last laptop had a 16MB ATI video and it hopped around too much. But I regress - I am not a gamer, and the games installed is for testing and maybe the occassional game play once every 2 months or so. so far I installed Quake III and it had no problems with video.

Just to see what all the heat I was getting about integrated video, I did try. Quake 3 ran smooth at 1024x768. I'll try to load some other games just to test it further, but I am limited to only some older games.

My list to try:
Half Life / Counter-Strike
Unreal
Diablo
Mechwarrior (not sure what version - I think it is 3)
