Whats the difference?

I think it's either a typo or just some bullshit RAM that has no purpose. Just get 2x 1GB PC2-4200 modules. Kingston is good and has excellent support/RMA. Dunno what prices are like right now but Corsair, Micron, Samsung, OCZ and Crucial are all safe bets too. If you can get Samsung chipsets (not Samsung brand memory sticks, but the actual chips ON the sticks, many brands use Samsung's chips) for a good price preferentially go for those. They're better... for some reason.

I was thinking about getting this...

Know anything better for about the same price?

That is a really good deal, I'd say go for it.

Its just rounding differences, 533 x 8 = 4264 which can be rounded to either 4200 or 4300 depending on what the manufacturer decides...

EDIT: Any stick(s) of the right configuration will do, our laptops don't take advantage of any extra speed the memory is capable of, all you need to do is get the cheapest reliable stick(s) you can.

IS there a huge difference between 1gig and 2gigs of ram?

I've went from 1 gig to 2 in my desktop.. but It wasn't a big difference..

What about on laptops?

Newer games seem to be following a trend of being RAM hogs, so 2GB would be a good future goal. For now, if you're short on cash, just buy a 1GB stick and use a stick of whatever your laptop came with to get 1.25GB or 1.5GB.
