Sweet find, ray! Definately a bookmarkable site - especially for those wanting to know the who's-who behind laptop manufacturing...

Not really a good review of Clevo machines, but pretty accurate sounding.

The thing about Clevo's is that they fit a certain profile that only some people will like. Apparantly these people aren't in need of powerful laptops despite some weight.

has 2MB of VRAM but is still very slow on video
I wouldnt trust the site for up to date information, but a lot of it's probably still accurate

Yeah, I noticed the machines and some things were dated, but it's a pretty complete list (if it is 2-3 years old).

This is a clone of another australian site, I forget the name, its been up forever and all of the material is from around 94/95. If you notice, they denigrate SAGER/CLEVO for having to use fans for cooling. Like any laptop these days doesn't? I'ver written to them before noting the material is hopelessly out of date but they replied they were short handed and if I wanted to update I was welcome to do so. Right!! The whole thing is a load of crap. If I find that other site I'll post it here. Something like Riley's or like that.

Hah!! I found it.

Ryder Fringe's Corral. All the information you'd want to know if this were 1995. A pretty set point of view as well as to what's good and what's not. Take it for what its worth.

Someone should coin a term for all this web-junk that just sits and rots all neglected...

Perhaps WebrRot? or CyberJunk? or myrkat's stuff?

But you are right, there should be a be a time limit on pages. Nothing really strict, maybe 5 years? However, there is some value to even stuff as old as this, it does give relationships as they were.

As long as something is clearly dated (i.e. "LAST UPDATE: during the Carter Administration" or something)...

(geeze, that's dating myself. Can you believe that kids who were not even BORN when Jimmy was in are now old enough to VOTE?! ).
