Media Center Remote w/o TV Tuner

I noticed that the Remote is offered seperately also when configuring a 6000. How can this be used without the TV tuner? Does the i6000D include an IR receiver when ordering the remote or do they install one into the unit?

I can't see how it will work on Windows media apps without the IR or the external TV tuner making me ask why would they sell it as a seperate unit as well as including one if you were to get the TV tuner.

Woodstock, does the "huge" IR connect via USB or directly to the TV tuner? I was thinking about getting the remote but not the TV tuner, would the remote still work without it?

You said IF you can get it to work correctly. Does that mean it's difficult to get it to work? Can you use any of these remotes to put the computer in stanby or turn it off?
