HELP - Should I buy Amilo M 3438G???

Hi Guys,

I've been reading this forum trying to decide whether to purchase the Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo M 3438G with the following spec from laptopsdirect:

Intel Pentium-M Centrino Processor 2GHz
1GB DDR SDRAM (2x512 – 2GB Max)- Low cost double memory offer – call for details!
2x60GB S.A.T.A Hard Drive
DVDRW± Drive - To read DVDs and CDs and write CDs and DVD+ and DVD-
17" WXGA Widescreen TFT Screen
NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 256MB dedicated graphics
Integrated gigabit LAN and 56k v.90 data fax modem
Integrated wireless 802.11b/g
Integrated 4-in-1 card reader
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Pre Loaded
4 USB 2.0 Sockets
4-pin Firewire (IEEE 1394) Port
2-hour Battery Life
Weight 4kg
Includes 1 Year Warranty
All laptops come with either full restore disks or a restore partition, Power Adaptor and leads

Ideally I need to purchase a laptop in the next week or so, my concerns with this laptop are that it has no Windows Media Center??? Does it?? Don't people think this is a downside?

Also whats the chances that Fujitsu-Siemens will launch the M4438G with the WUXGA screen in the UK soon, sending the price of this one even cheaper??

I am looking for high performance at a good cost, this laptop seems amazing both spec and price, no other laptop seems to come close.

So lastly, how future proof do you think this laptop is???

Thanks for your help in advance.
