I have purchased a Ferrari 4005wlmi with windows XP home, However I wish to ditch the factory pre-install, format and wipe the hard disk , create 2 partitions from the 100mb drive and clean install with XP pro .
What I am hoping can be compiled here is a list of everything that is Required in drivers and anything that should be backed up or extracted from the existing factory installation, including how to save off the calender wallpaper program and all the extra Acer e-manager stuff etc.
Forgive me if this is something that has already been created on here, but I couldnt see any reference or find any searches on the forum that would pull up a run through or a checklist of the procedures needed to help or advise users so we dont miss any vital pieces of software needed before wiping the hard drive clean !
