I just got an Averatec 6100. It was supposed to be like new but it has some scratches on the top and its missing 4 feet. (Has a make shift one the seller sent me see the troll section he has trolled many it seems JT Allen) It also is giving me problems with the Network/Firewire Card (But I have a PCMCIA with a built in Jack for eithernet (No dongle, jack built in)). I am looking for parts to correct everything but I will Trade it as it sits for a laptop with either a FX5200 or Radeon 9000. (Nothing lower I want some Shading support) Other then that i do not care what the laptop is just 512 and atleast a 40 if not bigger HD. So a lesser laptop with cash is great for me! (Sony picturebooks, Dell 9100's, anything that is black and nice I like (miss my Pismo) Sony PSP with Untold Legends, etc anything throw me your offers on it!)

Ok I am modifying the laptop I bought paint yesterday and I am going to sand and paint it black and leave the silver trim around the inside of the LCD, the lighter silver around the laptop keyboard area and the track pad. The bottom will be untouched.
I also put a Copper Heatsink setup in place of the crappy Alum. setup for the Chipset SIS Chip and I removed all the thermal pads and put Artic Silver 5 down, clean the GPU and CPU heatsinks which are very nice copper all around for the CPU with heat pipes and CPU Plate and the GPU has Ram and GPU heatsinks with a fan. (now with Artic Silver 5) Personally I do like the setup for it. I want to make one for copper heatsink for another chip SIS type under the Wireless card, but I need to file it down first and painting is the first thing on my list then I will play with that. So its def getting some nice extra mods!!!
Painting is done but I have buffing to do now. The laptop is back together and doing great. I have tons of pics I like it a lot more!!! (Start to so far but I need to finish buffing it). Anyway so scratch problem is fixed!!! I am also thinking of ading a Purple Tinted Cross to the top (not religious) to go with my name. I think it might be neat!
Anyway off to get some buffing compound!!
