After putting my audio hobby on hold for the last year it's time to get it started again and I need a way to record my sets to my laptop. I was thinking at either the M-Audio Audiophile USB or Firewire as they seem fairly cheap on Ebay and have pretty much all the inputs I need. Does anyone have good/bad experiences with either of these?
I was just wondering if there are any alternatives outside M-Audio that have either a USB or Firewire interface, RCA and COAX inputs/outputs, and possibly TRS outputs so I could plug my monitors in directly (I know the Audiophiles don't have this but it would be a welcome feature). Trying to keep it under $200 US through ebay/retailers and not MSRP.
My setup is 2 turntables connected through a mixer that has RCA outputs, but I will probably be upgrading to a newer one eventually and would like to keep my digital options open. My turntables also have digital outputs.
Thanks for any comments or suggestions.
