I got:

GFX 12600
CPU 11116

Looks like a 3dmark bug.

I read about someone with the same problem. He got a registered version, you have to use the free verison with the latest patch. Not registered.

Are you sure you have the XPS2 A05 BIOS and NOT the 9300 BIOS? Remember that only the XPS2 BIOS will allow you to run the card at full speed. Follow the first post in this thread on how to flash your 9300 to an XPS2 with the modified BIOS: http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=113866 . Then, once A01 is installed, upgrade to A04 or A05 using the Dell desktop utility.

Missed your edit ^^.

Nice work! Thought it sounded like a BIOS issue, glad you got her working

450C/1200 with Auto OC set got me a score of 7696

Edit: The reason the main windows' box says 7512 is because that's what I got before I turned on Auto OC.

wait what? You can OC *AND* Auto OC? Cowload ^^. That doesn't give you any benefit though- couldn't you just manually clock it higher? :P

P.S.: Is that stable, like everyday?
In the NVidia settings I just clicked Auto OC... so yes, I updated the actual card's BIOS for higher settings, and I am using Auto OC through NVidia. How does it not give me any benefit, I got a score of almost 200 more by checking Auto OC.

I didn't read this whole thread before I tried the flash, guess I'm lucky that 450C1200.ROM worked OK, since a couple guys had it ruin their card :x

Stable? Ya... works fine..

Did you even read my post ? Why not just go and manually clock higher, that's my question.
Ya I read your post, did you even read mine?

The manual overclock feature seems to not work (read that a billion times) so you have to overclock your card via BIOS flashes. So, why not = because it doesn't work.
Ok, here's a note: Don't use the Auto OC feature because it made me get a lot of artifacts in both FCBenchmark and ATiTool. As soon as I disabled it, the artifacts disappeared.

I've successfully flashed to 440/1200 and get almost 7400 points. However, I really wanted to edit the "balanced" or "low power 3D" clocks, so that I can get better performance on battery. However, when I set the clocks to 400/1000 and the voltage to 1.3v in NiBiTor, I get locks in any 3D apps. This happens both on battery AND AC, which is confusing. I know that low power mode can also affect the number of pipelines active, but this should not cause crashes. Also, the fact that it occurs on AC is confusing. Is it possible that the voltage setting is overrided when using the "balanced" setting? Overrided by what?

I have managed clocks of 300/800 on 1.1v, but 3DMark05 only reports about 4200 points.

Of course, Auto overclock only works when the card is warm. If you do it when the card is cold, it overclocks it way beyond what it should (which is idiotic because the card starts 3D applications cold for the most part). Also, if you're using auto overclock and you're already at 450/1200, you're nearing the stable capacity of the card.

Thanks K6 :-)

Guess I'm happy with 7500 :P
