Pin Modding 400 Buses on The Go

Sounds like a movie

Ok thanks for the info - i think i'll try the 1.8 ---> 2.4

533/400 = 1.3325

1.8 x 1.3325 = 2.3985 ~ 2.4

i knew there was simple math in here somewhere

Hot Swap 2 Go

Check out this hot swap-
i emailed the guy i bought the 7800(now dead) card from, on ebay, told him i killed it during a bad flash and he's sending a new 7800 gtx --- i'm giving back the bad card for $60 TOTAL for his trouble!
it had no warranty
and....
i have a 1.8 400mhz bus cpu(2 meg L2)coming for the pin mod
i replaced the 80 gig dell fujitzu? drive with a 120 gig seagate momentus 5400 rpm drive--- wow hot for the money! check out www.tomshardware.com way way faster boot and games load twice as fast
and i'm using the old drive as a usb external drive! doom plays great off the external with no lag or anything slower! --->trying other games...
anyway what volt modding might i need to do for the 1.8 -> 2.4?

artifacts doom3

now this is odd
terrible artifacting in doom3 with 2x antialiasing or 2xQ
but fine with--- no antialiasing or set to 4x or 8xs
(btw plays sooOoooo smooth with increadilble colors and atmosphere played 2 hours straight in god mode and all weapons all ammo )
the cause was the X-TremeG-Moble-Force drivers with the hacks... i uninstalled them and installed the 77.70 drivers and...
no artifacting with 2x 2xQ 4x or 8xS (the artifacting was so bad i could hardly see the game...)

6800U runs cool and stable gaming all day

Which version of the X-TremeG-Moble-Force was that? 2.24 or 2.25?

The 83.20's from X-treme G did this. It would happen to me on FEAR or serious sam 2 every time I alt-tabbed the game. If you haven't already, get the 83.90's from that site, they're great, tony did a bang up job on them .
That's funny, when I alt-tabbed Far cry it slowed down to a crawl when I got back to the game. Guess it's back to the v2.24 or 83.90's then.

errr... get them from what site?

Drivers and antialiasing errors

OK thanks...
the 83.90 seem good

Ok now for "ati tool":

errors with antialiasing on2x 4x etc...(sometimes) ---no troubles with it off...

is this normal?

The 83.xx drivers haven't been the greatest, but this set is WHQL so maybe this one will do the trick.
These ones are great you say?

That bios flash bootdisk works really great, thanks!
My problem is that my 7800 gtx produces artefacts at 425c1100 and the same amount of them at 425c1250…
So I think that my GPU is not able to handle more than the default clock, but the memory would be able to. Short question, is there a chance to get that image with 400c1200, 400c1250 and 400c1300?
Thanks!
Artifacts that soon??? Darn, try different drivers first, they've been known to casue artifacts at times.

Now for something completely different:

There have been a number of flash-mishaps. Can anyone confirm if these bad flashes could be attributed to bad roms or other causes?

I mean, if those roms could be faulty then I'm just too darn chicken to keep flashing away for every MHz gain.
I guess you could just make them yourself if you are worried about the ROM's. At leat one of the DOA cards claimed to use settings that worked fine for me, so I think the disk is fine as published, but something else went wrong during their flash.

That said, I would minimize the number of times you flash to keep the chance of something bad happening.
Obviously, but I understand there are no confirmed bad roms?
Obviously or someone would have fixed it. Just make them yourself if you are concerned.
I just asked if thee were any cases known, that's all.
I trust the people here to not all be dumbasses, but someone may have made a boo-boo and I may have missed that posting.

Did Someone say Tork-Ex?

I bought a set of torex drivers at Home Depot sizes 1-12($6.00)

the GPU heatsink works best with the size T-8
(but works "ok" with the T-9 and lesser with the T-7)
Radio Shack has a set for ($9.99)

Got my 7800 gtx replacement today :-)

think i'll just add some artic silver then try the 440/1200 and leave it at that
post #378 of 486
Yea I went to home depot as well and purchased that exact set.

More modding soon

FEELIN GROOVY....

440/1200 USING AS5 ...83.90 DRIVERS NO ARTIFACTS IN ANY SETTINGS

flashed once might try higher but games play great now(some needing the patches -- Pariha "blacked out" couldn't see where i was going without the patch... Doom3 and Mafia play great too--- ever try Doom3 in god mode-- and walk throught all the battling monsters near the dig site- funny some of them fight each other (hit; ctrl/lt/~ then at the console type "god'... 'give all' gives all weapons and health...

very happy --- this is my replacement 7800gtx

Forget what I said, the 84.12's just gor released and the comments so far are good enough to upgrade.
