Keyboard prints garbage!

I have a problem.
The keyboard for my has been typing garbage when I use the four key on the right, namely: PgUp, PgDn, Home and End, plus the arrow keys.

An even stranger thing is that it comes and goes! Sometimes the keyboard works fine other times, it gives me this trash! If somebody else has heard of this and know how to resolve it, i'd really appreciate it.

I already ran virus scan, rebooted my system several times, reinstalled the keyboard drivers and NO water or any liquid has ever fallen on it.

For reference, here's what i get when I use these keys:

When I press the left arrow it goes up a line prints out: "opU"
When I press the Home key it takes me to the beginning of the line then prints out: "y"
When I press the End key, it takes me to the end of the line and prints out: "./M"
When I press the PgDn it goes a page down and prints: "\l;j"
When I press the PgUp it goes a page up and prints: "\-6"

help!! lol

thanks

Sounds like the internal connection from the keyboard to the motherboard is messed up. Have you tried removing the keyboard, then reconnecting it to the motherboard? Also try blowing out any dust or debris that may have made it's way underneath the keys.

I haven't trieod that yet. I'l try it this weekend see if, hopefully that resolves the problem. Thanks!

But before that, do you think there might be another problem other than that. I'm just a bit hesitant to open up the laptop.

Thanks

Sounds like a registry entry is messed up or something. If the un plug: plug in deal doesn't work... call the reseller....

Correctomundo. Did you mess with regional settings in windows?

I dont think it's a problem with the registry because it would be a consistent problem, however this problem comes and goes at random times. I'm going to remove the keyboard and see if I can blow off some dust out of there.

Thanks though, I appreciate the help! Hopefully it is just a matter of dusting it off.
