depending on your situation, screen size is also very important.

if moving around between classes is what you will be doing. going with a 15.4 would prolly be better. but if display size is what counts (like it does for me) go for a larger display..

I have found there are not many notebook bags around that will fit my monster... still shoppin for a good bag. (the AW one doesn't have enough room for my other items or I would have gotten it.)

If I was in the market for a powerful, upgradable, carry around notebook, then I would go for the 5500.

This article pretty much seals the deal for me!

battery life??

Anyone have any idea how long the battery life last for 5700 and 5500. I can't find any information on how many battery cells they have.

Batteries

The m5500 is a standard 6 cell and has an optional 9 cell. The M5700 has an 8-Cell... BOth should get pretty good battery life, especially the M5500.

Hope that helps!
