I've posted up a few times about getting a notebook, and I was leaning toward a small gaming notbook, 14.1" or smaller (Sony S580, Asus W3V, Chembook 2030). I was looking at my dream desktop replacement, the NP5720, and I realized something. All in all its really not all that much bigger then the thin and light laptops, the main difference being the weight (which doesn't bother me too much).

Here's what I found:

Sager NP5720: (W) x (D) x (H) : 15.6" x 11.5" x 1"~1.8" Weight: 7.5lbs

Sony S580: (W) x (D) x (H) : 12.3" x 8.85" x 1.18" - 1.39" Weights: 4.3lbs

Chembook 2030: (W) x (D) x (H) : 13.1" x 9.5" x 1.1" Weight: 5 lbs

Asus W3V: (W) x (D) x (H) : 13” x 9.7” x 1.18”~1.29” Weight: 4.8lbs

As you can see, at the worst, the Sager NP5720 is only 3.3" x 2.65" x 0.7" bigger. Will this make much of a difference? Does it seem better on paper then in reality? For those who have an NP5720, how much does the size affect mobility?

Anyways right now I'm really leaning towards the NP5720, the insane power of this machine plus for that price, plus comparing sizes it really doesn't seem that much bigger...
