I need a replacment battery

So i sent in my battery to ASUS tech support b/c it wouldnt hold a charge like so many of u know. They were gonna send me back a new one. I just got a call from staples (where i sent it from) that the package came back return to sender empty. It was taken out of the box! I set up a claim for UPS and all and now i need to find a new battery. Where can i get one from? I see ISTNC was trying to fix the problem, did they have any luck? Is there a battery i can get (since UPS will most likely be paying for it) that is better than the one that comes with the comp? Also how do i make sure this doesnt happen again?

I don't think any third-party battery's going to work. You'll have to work it out with UPS to get another battery for your Z71V from ASUS.

In the future you can avoid it by contactting your vendor and making sure they honor their coverage of round trip shipping for rma but more then that DO NOT drop your rma items off at staples or any other 3rd party. Call 800-pick-ups to get a fre pickup or ask where you can drop it off at a hub. Also make sure to follow rma instructions. If you did not the box can be easily refused by asus. UPs should honor the claim though if you had it insured. You can use that money to buy a new battery

Yes it is insured for $100 and teh battery is 105 from ISTNC. I went to staples b/c i needed the box. Will UPS just give me a check for the item or will they buy it for me?
