anyone knows if 7800go available in germany / europe ?

i've found one in ebay but it's about 620 € (730 dollars -.- ). thats hell tooo much.

are we guys in europe pissed off again?? first we get our xps's months later und then we are'nt allowed to upgrade and have to purchase a new lappy?

I have a strong suspicion that dell thinks europe costumers are idiots...

nobody buys the m170 if he had bought a xpsgen2 half a year before (it's the same machine) - thats idiotic.

anyone asked dell for the 7800 here in europe?

Yes I asked dell.de for it last week but they didn't know when it will be available.

But 620€ is not way too much. Remember a cheap desktop 7800GTX is around 450€. I see no chance for a price near or even under 500€ when Dell makes it available here (it's 599$ on dell.com as well).

Don't take that "wrong" price in consideration some people got from Mark.

If you are not willing to pay 600€ for that upgrade you shouldn't bother anymore I guess.

I would buy one of those ebay cards but I'm concerned about my warranty.

Thinking of all that prices it doesn't seem real "idiotic" to buy a new one....

maybe we should all together call and nerf them ...
(i think there are a lot of people here in europe who would buy this thing)

upgradability was one of the reasons why i purchased a xps and no sager/alienware or similar crap. i'am a bit dissapointed.

guarantee is the reason why i wouldn't buy it from ebay (price too).

i have ask Dell France for the 7800GTX, they definitely said we don't sell graphic card for notebook.

I say that DELL US sell the product on internet too, they just answer we are in France and DELL France don't sell this product.

I'm disappointed too.

I will try Dell Germany in a few day but i don't think they will give me an positive answer.

correct me if i'am wrong but i can remember when the xps gen2 was introduced, its upgradability was advertised... (the whole mxm thing. there were a lot of discussions about this)

i think i read something about upgradability at dells website.

isn't there a law which gives you the right to return your product when it hasn't features which were advertised? if this is the case... i want my money back =) (maybe i would buy a m170 then

i don't know when the xps2 was launch in France, but i have an I9300 But wanted to buy an 7800GTX to make the upgrade!

Hi guys,
I sell the Cards on eBay.
I try to get them from German-Dell-Spare-Parts, but there is no way to get them!!!
They don´t want to sell this Cards. It´s the same like the old Inspiron 8x00, those Cards won´t sell from Dell-Germany, so I sold them on eBay.

Try to get them, but I thing we will mail use again.
No chance to get it here in Europe!!!

Oh, the price is not so high you thing.
The Cards are $599,- in the USA. The guy who sell them to me, will have his money, then Tax-Fee (Zollgebühren) and shipping to Germany comes above!
So you will see, it´s not to expensive!!! Try to get it and you will see.

I love those hardly German speaking German support people .... ^^

Now I was told Dell doesn't do any upgrades at all. But they could sell me the card (with loss of warranty)...

Update: I called sales department. They don't sell spare graphic cards for any notebook.

If someone finds an agent telling something different give me his number.

How many did you order and how long did it take? I hesitate to buy from you as some of my things got "lost" somewhere between USA and Germany when I ordered a few parts and I would have to pay you in advance before you order my card ...
I guess you don't offer anything in case of DOA, right?
