but...

the main listing says Z70a, while the text says Z70Va, it's in "thin & light, not "multimedia", and it doesn't say "Built on Asus" like it should. But, hey, I suppose they had to add it in sometime, and I'm glad they finally did!

Ya, I was going to point those out, but figured someone else would.

Kinda like a "what's wrong with this picture"... and you got all of them!

there's a zero bright dot policy on the z70va? i never knew this.
Eddie said that Samsung (who makes the Z70va screens) has that policy, so maybe Asus is passing it on... (or it's a mistake)
That listing is a mistake. Whatever stock asus has of the z70a (its not the z70va) has to be very limitd because 1 week ago they had 0 and over a month ago it was declared end of life. It was not a very popular laptop mainly becuase the z63a is just better in every single way. Even the screen is better though its smaller. Better becuase there is almost no difference between 1.3" in diagonal for the same wxgqa resolution. If you look at them side by side you really will not miss the extra 1.3". As for zbd. This is a typo for sure. Asus will not honor any such policy for whitebooks especially whitebooks they dont sell. The z70va has a samsung screen. The z70a if i remember right has a lg screen. The samsung is actually sold by samsung with a "zero" policy but asus does not choose to employ it. The lg does not have this policy as far as i saw based on the screen however i have not seen a z70a in a while. This would also explain why the dp/sp rate on the z70va is very very low. Maybee 1 in 50 or 1 in 100. I am not analyst so dont quote me.

The m6(ENSEMBLE) does while the z70va doesn't, I think.
I assume we are talking about us product in which case there is no m6 ensemble.
Actually, that page isnt supposed to be up. There are no links from the Products page to that. The Z70 series have never made it to the US site. They must've copied and paste it there by mistake when working on another international site. Also, it shouldn't be in the Thin and Light catagory either.

Yeah, you'd think with all the great hardware they make, they'd want to show it properly... but maybe not!

Not everyone here is in N.A.

Though, if you click on the specs for it on that website, it lists the video card as:
"Video Graphics & Memory: ATI Mobility Radeon X700, 128MB"
Even though it still says Z70A...

Its a misprint. That whole product is a misprint, it shouldn't be there. Some one pasted it there on accident. Its not in the right section and not even in the right site. For some reason Asus never put up the Z70 series on their US site (even though its been out for quite some time now).
