Purchased new Acer 1654wlmi beginning of Nov. Had immediate problems with wireless connection. Other laptops were fine on network. Notebook would connect, drop off, go from 54Mbps to 1Mbps, total nightmare. Tried device manager>update driver but reported that it was the latest driver. So sent it back on warranty, got the wireless card replaced. However same problems with new one.
So, went onto intel website looked up wireless card - intel pro wireless 2200bg - found new driver - 9.0.3.9. Long story short, sorted out all problems. No connectivity issues now, bosh.
