I think there is something wrong with the fan in my Lifebook E8020D or rather its control. After around 1 hour of usage (no CPU-intense applications, just writing in Word) the fan turns on and won't turn off anymore. The only solution to get the fan to turn off is switching off the laptop and waiting for a while or putting it on a cold surface (like a marble floor).

I suppose there must be somthing wrong with the temperature set for the fan to turn off again (BIOS version 1.10).

Has anyone else experienced this with the Lifebook E8020D or any other Lifebook? Is this normal? Can I fix this somehow by myself? (I already tried Notebook Hardware Control, RMClock, and setting the energy managment options for maximum power saving. Didn't help.)

One bad thing about this Lifebook model is that Windows software tools can't do any temperature readouts (apart from the HDD temperature, which I'm not really interested in). So, I can't really check how high the temperature really is inside the laptop. But with my hand I felt the bottom side of the laptop and the air being blown out by the fan and both are just slightly warm.
