hi all
Does anyone know how to identify the parts in the sager 8790?
First, background information:
My backlight flickers, vibrates shortly after I turn the computer ON. As per this post ( http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=116149 ) I found the culprit: a c***py cable that gets loosen sometimes.
I kind of fixed it, but it didn't work perfectly: the backlight still vibrates. However, I stops happening if I close and open the screen several times. This means to me that either the movement puts the cable back into its place or the cable is slowly breaking apart...
Now, the question is:
how can I identify that specific cable so that I can go to the service center and ask "I want this part #" and expect them to give me the right cable? Do you people think that I could get this cable from any electronics shop or will I probably need to contact Clevo or the local service center to get the part?
Before anyone says "just take it to the service center":
1. I live in Russia and I don't trust the local service center. They would take forever to fix and who-knows what mistakes they would make when assembling it back. I would rather do it myself, I just need the part.
2. It is my work computer, I simply can't be without for more than 1 or 2 days.. that is why I want to buy this thing BEFORE it breaks so that I can change it when it does.
3. I could buy it online if I knew where to look for.
thanks for any help.
