I hope you people realize that these insane prices on ebay.. like $5000-10,000 for the xboxs.. are most likely people bidding on it and ****ing around. No one is THAT dumb - Even if u win a bid you don't have to buy it..

I think MS INTENTIONALLY created the shortage, to build a higher customer base. If you REALLY think about it, the Phantom is really the same kind of machine, but He ran into a lot of copyright problems, with the actual game Cos. That, and I'm sure MS probably had a hand in making things difficult for Infinium Labs., much like the trouble they caused Lindows. Let's face it, Bill wants the whole world to run on Windows ,and get paid every step of the way. I saw a demo of a 360 box, tonight, and I must admit, the graohics are fantastic,BUT, There was a kid there playing the game for about 15 minutes and the thing just froze. The Walmart employee reached behind the screen to shut the machine off. It was clearly evident, that it wasn't the first time it had happened.He walked away muttering "what a POS." BD51

A word of advice to Ebayers, Remember, Paypal usually sides with the buyer and so does the credit card co. Your account could suddenly be in the red when one of those sales bounce. All sales final or as is isn't gonna cut it when the house of cards falls. So if you buy that new Xbox to turn a profit make sure you use cash, and include the receipt, because if you don't, it's used goods as far as MS is concerned.And BELIEVE me they watch Ebay ALL the time. They are forever canceling posts trying to sell off counterfeit software. I know if I ever paid say $1000 for one, 1. I pay with a credit card so that WHEN, and not IF it craps out, I could dispute the charges. Before this is over ,there's gonna be a lot of sore butts out in EBAYVILLE. I was checking them out on Ebay this AM, and it was easy to note the profiteers because they had no trader points. It was also interesting to note those same sellers weren't drawing the big numbers. one closed without even reaching the $299 selling price, and was withdrawn. BD51 ebayer
