This NEVER works right for me and if I do get it working then it magically changes out of the blue after me doing nothing.

I'm running an x31 with a Dell 2001FP on the external. I want the x31 screen off and just use the Dell for my screen. If that's impossible I'll settle for having them both on but running the same thing.

I try going into properties-> settings... I need to uncheck the boxes for "extend desktop" and "use as primary" but they are grey and I can't uncheck them

I think it may be a problem with designating monitor 1 and 2 but I don't know how to do that.

can you help?!?
