Bad news, only got 3K in 3dmark05. Running it now flashed to XPS Gen 2.

Flashed to XPS Gen 2 I get 5K Plus in 3dmark.

Ah well, looks like a flash is necessary, but it's pretty darn easy to flash to The trickiest part is making a USB Key bootable.

I'll update my first post with detailed instructions.

Makes ure you have a 9-cell battery. It refuses to boot with a 6 cell in :-p stupid dell.

Is the reason you can swap it out because the 6800 are all MXM? It doesn't say at dell's website...so thats why i'm asking.

No, they are not MXM AFAIK. MXM is ASUS only, I believe. Yes, I have 130 Watt PSU

Missing the 9 Cell Battery though.
