your highest fps on HL2

i use fraps and the built in fps in hl2. sometimes it would insanely hit 200 fps at some points (ch.2).

my settings are:
native resolution 1920x1200
aa 4x
af 16x
everything on high

is it for real or its buggy?

i used fraps with my desktop card and its right on the mark when i do a stress test or something... 45 with fraps and 43 with the stress test... yeh my card sucks... cant wait till christmas when i get my 9300 and then a 7800 upgrade

Your average is more important then how high your FPS go.

Looking at the sky in games can cause high fps but that doesn't really mean anything.

These numbers you're spewing out are completely random. you need a baseline that everyone can compare to, upload a demo file or do the CS:S stress test using the same settings for everyone. Then again this has all been done a thousand times before so just hit search and do everyone a favor

peak FPS is nice and all but why don't you guys post the Stress Test FPS instead.

and make sure its running in dx9 mode. the game sometimes defaults to dx8.
