XTreme-G MobileForce 81.95-v2.24

This version of the XTreme-G MobileForce Driver has 2 "Types". They are:

XTreme-G Enhanced - "Standard" XTreme-G MobileForce Tweaks. Formerly known as "Quality".
Stock - No Performance or Quality tweaks.

This driver set is version 81.95-v2.24. I've changed the name to something that (between me and some of my buds) think is a bit more "catchier" of a name (face it, "Mobile Edition" sounds like something from Microsoft ). So, from this point forward (most likely), the XTreme-G Mobile Edition drivers will be called "XTreme-G MobileForce" (that, and it's a shorter name for JR ). I've COMPLETELY removed the "performance" type, and it'll be gone for the forseeable future. I made this decision on the reports of users, as well as my own experience. There just wasn't enough of a gain to make the set worthwhile, especially when weighed against the loss of image quality. The former "Quality" set has been renamed to "XTreme-G Enhanced" to signify what it is, and the "Stock" set remains intact, the same as it was. This set no longer has SmartDimmer enabled by default, as it seems to only work correctly with GeForce Go 62x0\6400\6600-Series cards (I had some major problems with it on my Go6800). I will hopefully in the next release include 2 versions of the "XTreme-G Enhanced" type, one with SmartDimmer, and one without, so the user can choose his\her preference. Finally, I've removed some tweaks that were causing problems on Go6800\7800-Based cards, and hopefully fixed the "Overclocking Not Sticking" issue some were having with the previous (81.94-v2.21) set.

for some reason they dropped my non-oc score by like 30 marks in 3dmark 05 pro

Awaiting some commentss regarding its improvement over the last set of ExtremeG (81.87)... I'm still using them and they allow me to overclock the highest...I'm stiill quite happy with them.

These have fixed the Overclocking bug that many users (especially Dell 9300\XPS-Gen2\M170 users) reported, as Overclocks didn't stick with a restart of Windows (even when the "Apply these settings at startup" option was enabled). I've confirmed this myself with a simple Overclock to 335\325 (on 3D, obviously ), clicking "Apply these settings at startup", restarting Windows, and they stayed at 335\325 with no problems. I restarted Windows about 4 or 5 times to REALLY make sure, and they stuck every time .

Part of the prob. well, if u have a 7800GTX, is they're locked. Yes stupid remark, but some1 out there prob. didnt know that! So dont even bother trying the Driver O/C, it will never stick, even if u use super glue *rolls eyes*

No, that wasn't a stupid remark, as even I didn't know that, LOL. I do believe I read that you can flash the card with a new BIOS that has overclocking enabled\higher clocks, but I'm not sure . Though the bug for Go6800\Ultra users IS fixed .

hmm yea, ok it wasnt a stupid remark lol. But where did u read that its posible to flash to an un-locked BIOS? The only 1 i saw here was the Acer flash, adn that royally effes up the card, rendering it useless. It would be awesome if u could find where u read that! Thanks

If you like IQ then you need to install the new 81.95 a lot better IQ then the 81.87. Others have said the same thing.

I wonder what score can you get in 3DMark05 with that core/memory clocks, thanks.

Thanks for the release. This version solved a shadow problem I was having in Guild Wars with 81.94.

hey thanks for this, I tried it just because you were in vulcan

nice drivers, all good so far, cheers

anyone know how GPU temps are with this driver compared to XG-81.87? how about overclocking stability, and Counterstrike Source fps/IQ/bugs?

The O/C setting doesn't stick for the 6800 ultra tony
post #18 of 22
I've notice these dont downclock while in 2D mode. They're always in 3D mode. I believe the 81.94's downclocked while in 2D mode. Is there a way to fix this?

I also am unable to get the O/C settings to stick. I removed all drivers, did the driver cleaner to make sure, installed these and the O/C settings never seems to stick... even after I set them and then launch 3dmark05, it still reports the original settings.

I'm confused now, LOL. My overclocking settings stick perfectly with these drivers, WTF!? I also have had others with Go6800's AND Go6800Ultra's say that their overclocking settings stick. I don't understand why it works for some, but not for others. Maybe reinstall the driver, using DriverCleaner Pro, and CCleaner? Sorry guys, I'm at a complete loss ...
