Slackware 10.2 and KDE issues

Thread Starter
I just installed slackware 10.2 on my laptop. After messing around with the xorg.conf file I finally got the proper resolution running: 1920x1200

There is a weird problem though. All the fonts inside of a web browser look as they should be at 1920x1200 resolution, but all the KDE fonts and icons are freaking huge. The control panel shows that the resolution is set right.

Here is a picture to help illustrate my point.

As you can tell, the icons look like they're running at 1280x1024 and the text inside the taskbar, and inside the konquerer window look huge, but everything else like a firefox window browser look like they're at much higher resolution. Why?

Did you set the font size on control panel, right? I'm telling this because if you don't know already, you can have different configs for both KDE and web browser (this is specially true if you use Firefox). If everything is OK, try adjusting the DPI. Since your resolution is high, maybe the DPI is the problem. Can't help much because I stopped using KDE for some time now (using Gnome on Ubuntu). Anyway, it's not the first time I see DPI issues on KDE (happened with me before. one of the reasons I stopped using KDE) and probably won't be the last. It's worth looking at it.
