Hello,
My name is Kel and I am new on these boards. As of yesterday, I am now the proud-waiting-for-her-laptop owner of the I6000D.
My story starts out yesterday when I finally got around to ordering it before the sale was over.
I purchased over phone, when it happened. The person explained to me that the I6000D has been taken off and is unable to order. I was a wee bit mad since the sale wasn't over with. So I called up the tech support AND GOT THE SAME PERSON! I kept getting the same person, when I was trying to get someone to explain to me as to why this was going on. Okay, so I had really no beefs with this person except he couldn't understand the questions I was asking. As he'd been telling me to go with the I6000 or the I930m ( which was way out of my price range). After hanging up, I was sulky and decided to start researching for a new laptop. This laptop was a christmas presents my parents are giving to me this holiday season.
Than it hit me, I had been talking to Nigel from Dell Tech, and had his Ext Number which I called. Unable to get a hold of him, I was transfered to his Boss, Mac who transfered me to Rochak.
Ah yes, Rochak. My hero, who not only got my laptop FOR ME. For the hassle I went through, he gave me a free printer, some dollars off the laptop( $20.00, not much but to me it was a generous gesture) AND an upgrade on the warranty.
I have no idea what printer he gave me. I know it's a 3-in-1, scanner, copier and printer.
So here I wait, my I6000D is suppose to arrive Dec9th, or so the website tells me. And my printer is Dec7th or so the website tells me. I'm not allowed to touch either until the 25th of December.
Okay so, I upgraded my laptop to 1 gig ram and the 9 cell battery.
So all in all. Dell is a good fair company.
-K
