Looking to buy a dell notebook.

alright im looken into buying a dell id like to keep the price below $1000, i need it just for some web surfing basic school stuff, maybe some songs, not really planning to play games on it, and i just need it to fit my needs. any reccomendations anyone? comments anything?

Hey Imperial Guard,

700m will fit your needs just fine. The only issue with 700m is built-in speakers. They are no good. Other than that, it is an excellent laptop.

The new B130 series looks pretty good for super lowend prices.

You might want to look at the xps m140, 14 inch lappy with a regular sized keyboard, 700m's have smaller somewhat impractical keyboards, or a 630m though I dont see the 630m on dell home, it appears to be the exact same thing as an m140. You can also get a 6000 with present coupons, for under a thousand possibly with dedicated graphics to boot!!
