Its possible they could become a new player, but let's get something straight, PuRam is just a Solid State Drive. Go-L did not invent it, they did not pioneer it. SSD has been around for more than 20 years. At best, they are simply adapting off-the-shelf items, which by the way, are very pricey. That's going to change in the next couple of years as SSDs become mainstream. I bet that in a year or two, it will become common for a laptop or even a desktop to have an SSD for the OS and perhaps another for major programs. Eventually, SSD will subplant rotating media, its just much, much faster, more stable, draws less power and produces less heat in addition to that fact you just about can't destroy an SSD as compared to the relative delicacy of rotating media.
For that matter, Go-L doesn't have a single item that it developed. The multiple screen, that's SideCar, they even ripped the graphics right off their web site. All the rest is hype and hyperbole.
According to their web site, Leibermann is a TV ad director, not a cyber-genius. Perhaps he has a good vision of what could be and perhaps he has the funding to make it happen. That would be great, I hope its true.
But the problem is they have come crashing into the market like a bull in a china store, making wild claims, ripping off other web sites and having little to back it up. They have earned themselves a great deal of skepticism and doubt that's going to take a lot to overcome. Their one laptop shipped (that we know of) is to MEDDUDE and it turned out to be a slightly souped up 4780 at a grossly inflated price. Many of the more exciting claims turned out to be bogus.
Its a lot better to walk softly and carry a big stick, to make your mark and then boast, to show the world what you can do before you beat your chest and make a big scene. That's one reason I have always like SAGER, they don't make wild claims, they don't work the 'reviewer' scene, handing out machines and goodies to get good reviews, they don't spend a lot of money on advertising in every possible rag. The adverstising they do use is very tasteful and highly professional. In short, they perform rather than boast about what amazing things they might do.
Frankly, at this point, Go-L would have to dang near walk on water before I'd even give them more than a passing glance. Nice eye candy but no substance.
